I am Debbie LaForest - Artist at your service!
Here is a brief bio of who I am and what I enjoy.
I am a 40 something grandma of 4 beautiful grand-
children, who give me so much inspiration in
my life.
For seventeen years, I have been an Office Manager
for a division of a very large company and I still
enjoy my job and all the people I work with.
My passion for creativity began when I was 9 yrs. old. I
would gather all the cards we would receive throughout
the year and replicate each one. From there I would doodle
on my own to come up with my own ideas and write poems.
(I always envisioned a career in the greeting card field).
Somehow I lost that vision through the years into early adulthood. When I started my family there didn't seem to be enough time although the thoughts of my passion
were in the back of my mind.
In 1996, while visiting family relatives in San Francisco, they brought me to a sidewalk chalk festival which inspired me so very much. I knew it was time for my calling. All my passions for drawing and painting came flooding back to me.
As my children are all grown and have left the nest, I began to get back in touch with my forgotten talent.
I began by painting a mural for my grandaughters playroom and the reaction from them was all the inspiration I needed. I began to paint murals for clients and got that same delighted reaction.
No, I did not attend any established Art School or major in any professional art classes......My creativity comes from within, and my heart and soul is put into each project, making it very easy to customize or replicate a mural for my clients.
